P is for POTHOLES, of which we have stacks,
Poor service is the reason;
Putting off maintenance all good sense lacks,
Pending some better season;
Previously all our roads were quite good,
Politicians would make them
Prioritised for cash outlay, as should –
Parties would never take them;
Poured into parties for party that rules,
Passing up things much needed;
Procrastination on part of these fools,
Plus wasting cash, succeeded
Patently in sinking feelings indeed -
Potholes and sinkholes of note -
Passage on roads such as this one would need
Progress across in a boat!
The above impressive little lake opened up yesterday under that unfortunate vehicle in a road quite close to our home. The pothole is seriously serious about the business of being one. Perhaps a portion of panic would be ap-propriate!
Talking of lakes and such, I went sploshing again today and the intention is to repeat the exercise tomorrow after which all will be revealed …

The state of many of our roads are shoking! Love the rhyme (as always)! Have a great evening, Col!
The driver of that bakkie certainly got a shock!
You, too!
Love your prolific sense of humour in this post
Let it free! Laughter is good for the soul.
Profitable tenders between shady comrades. Scary.
In all probability!
hehehehe Col! Great Poetry once again… you are a Professional my friend.

The sploshing sounds like lots of fun!
*hugs*
Thanks for the Pro label!
The sploshing has been hard work, but tomorrow will tell whether or not it has paid off.
“All will be revealed.” Are you skinny dipping, Col? I heard about that sink-hole on the news. Thanks for the pic and the poem.
Not that kind of revealing! Oh, I didn’t know it had been broadcast. Pleasure!
Geez, I feel sorry for that unfortunate driver!
So do I – apparently nobody was injured, though, amazingly enough.
heeheehee…well done!
You really sink so?
Yes! hahahahahaha…I really “sink” so
