We get a fair few this time of the year. I have been trying to find an directory/book of these wonderful critters, bit so far have turned up zip. Any clues?
We also get the little blue mayflies around the pond.
I did find a list of species a while back, but can’t remember where!
I love dragonflies, but I have never experienced them in such quantity! What a surprise that would be!
I think this is a religious group, because they have been having quite a few masses lately.
I have never seen more than [or less than now that I think about it] two dragonflies together – and I absolutely LOVE them precious creatures! Pretty amazing that you even captured their wings in the photo.
I snapped madly at the sky, hoping something would come out – and it did!
I tried that in December when I had millions of butterflies flying over me on their migration trail – unfortunately the pic just looked like a grey sky
Seems some setting changes added to the mad clicking would have been a good idea!
Sadly my trusty BlackBerry camera does not allow for setting changes, so the only mad clicking will be me and my tongue!

I wish I’d been able to get them earlier, when there were dozens of them.
Heavens, I can simply say you have many dragonflies per day.
That was but a small example
