Anyhow, what I’ll now do,

Introduce myself to you:

Over centuries gone past

(And I don’t just mean the last)

Ancestors from the UK

Moved to Africa to stay.

–

They set up the Colonies –

Now it seems that folks like these

Are quite poorly looked upon –

Days of Colonies are gone!

–

But they built things good and fine;

Never mind how those may whine

Who were backward when they came,

And who had to play THEIR game.

–

Subjugated though they were,

This then made it to occur

That advanced technology

In such countries came to be.

–

I have pride, there is no doubt

In all that they brought about,

And I really get annoyed

When it starts to be destroyed!

Now some things concerning me:

I like writing fantasy,

Music-writing, also do:

Symphonies; sonatas too.

–

Classical, though, is my type,

So they do not have much hype;

For I feel a melody

More than just four notes should be!

–

I’ve a blog that’s elsewhere run,

But I thought it might be fun

On this so much larger stage

My attention to engage.

–

By the way, not all I write

Do I versify; not quite!

Though I have a merry time

Putting nonsense into rhyme!
