(Inspired by the recent experience of Dinx in San Francisco where she got all shook up, indeed…)

The flooring was shaking –
‘Don‘t worry; earth quaking!’
‘Oh my gawd, the big one, then?’
‘Nope; forecasts will warn us when;
Lie down, have a ball –
Then you’ve nowhere to fall;
There’s no better place to be than
This here quake-proof block in San Fran;
The safest one by far…
Oh gawd; it’s cracking!
AAAAAAAAAAAAH!’

Very scary! Has anyone felt the vibrations in the parking lot on the Northgate roof? The whole floor moves and you can feel it both inside and outside the car. Don’t know if it’s meant to do that!

I’d prefer NOT to experience that!

Thank goodness I don’t live in the US, my nerves will be shot every day wondering when one of those disasters will strike. Not only earthquakes but tornadoes as well. Have a great weekend Col 🙂

Funny what one can get used to. I remember days when Jo’burg earth tremors used to have pictures falling off the walls and crockery crashing out of cupboards. After a while, one hardly noticed them!

You’d have been very shaken by the construction of the Gauteng, the blasting had me thinking we were under terrorist attack.
