MEETING A FAMOUS GLOBETROTTER AND FINNISH STAGE STARS

Today saw us caught up in the throngs of people at the East Coast Radio House and Garden Show in – where was it again? – oh, yes, Durban. There I had the pleasure of meeting a well-travelled and world-famous celebrity, Oscar, and of watching him pursue balloons with eager barks and untiring energy. My one regret is that I didn’t manage to get him to pose for a picture with granddaughter R. I had got separated from the main party (again! *sigh*) and by the time we reconnected it was time to leave.

There were numerous things to see there, but far too many people to see them through.

On another tack, I managed to have a preview of some of the stars of a forthcoming show ‘Seussical’ – in final stages of makeup being put on …

It’s everything one might find wishable
Such finny thingies being fishable,
And one is Grink, another Glurk –
(Nah, don’t think this is going to work!)

Somehow, I doubt that I’ll be asked to write the script

    I adore all things Seussical
    Tossed about in a musical
    Bright colorful rhymes
    Singing fish with chimes
    What could be more unusical

Glad you had a lovely day in Durban.
