REALLY AWFUL BILINGUAL LIMERICK ON A HAIKU, AND DESCARTES BEFORE THE HORSE RHYME

I’ll stick to my limericks, thanks. Haven’t written any for a loooong time. I actually write better in Dutch/Afrikaans

OK then:

‘n Dame van Nederlands uit,
Sê, ‘Jammer, hoor, maar dit my spyt,
‘n Haiku skryf ek nie;
Vir my het geen plek nie;
Want ek eet nie rys vir ontbyt!’

(A lady from Netherlands source,
Said, ‘Though I am sorry, of course,
I do not write haiku,
And I would not like to –
My breakfasts have no rice in force!’)

 ——————

 Cogito ergo sum:
Descartes before de horse?
(‘I think, therefore I am,’
is what that says, of course;)
But that would surely mean
that if you do not think,
You’d swiftly leave the scene,
Snuffed out within a wink!
The theory’s thus disproved:
Malema’s* still on call,
And Zuma’s** not removed …
Who’ve never thought at all!

*(Or: Cameron’s still on call.)
**(Or: …;/ Obama’s not removed.)

    WOW! I couldn’t follow that at all.
    What I find interesting is the last photo. The guy in blue (on the right) is young and skipping along all happy while the older couple do all the work..

  3. Just wanted to let you know that you haven’t missed the deadline to link your Clean piece for Trifecta. You just tried to put it on the wrong post. Try clicking the first post on our main page and inserting it there. You have about 40 minutes to get it up. Thanks!

    AAAAAW, so sweet of you to mention me AND give me tulips!
    Descartes was/is still one of my favourite Mathematicians as I used to enjoy the introductory lessons for the grade 9’s on straight line graphs and the Cartesian plane.
    xxxx {{{hugs}}} Just for fun 😉
