DAILY POST WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: TWO SUBJECTS.

‘Share a picture with two subjects.’

My favourite picture with two subjects (three images, but one is a reflection) is the above, which I have posted before but is worth a repeat.

Ginger MacGregor features in the second as well, but this time in company with Gemma the Maltese. The main subject here will depend on whether one prefers cats or dogs.

A third which I thought of including is this pair of Impala taken while on a walk in a nature reserve twenty minutes or so from where we live. I defy anyone to say with any certainty which of the two is the main subject!

Right, then we get to the one I actually took today which fits the subject.

This one needs the title of LIFE AND DEATH.   What will give life to a new generation of these spider-hunting wasps (Auplopus carbonarius) is the slow death of the rain spider (Palystes superciliosus) from being eaten alive – but paralysed – by the wasp larvæ,

  5. Love your ginger cat – and the first pic is definitely worth repeating! Grisly spider…maybe that only counts as one and a half subjects!

Nice photos. I agree the spider pic’s title should be “Life and Death”.

Awwww, I just love those furry subjects and the top one is the most beautiful Col. What a great shot! 🙂 Great entry for sure. 🙂 What a pity about that beautiful rain spider. I don’t like wasps. They’re yucky! 🙂 Stunning post! 🙂

I would love to put that top one into a caption competition. Maybe I should!
The habits of wasps and spiders are both not very endearing. But then, so many things in Nature are really cruel. Including many cute-seeming ones. Thanks!

I think you should for sure Col! It would definitely win! 🙂
Oh, that is so true but I think to Nature it doesn’t seem cruel. It’s part of it and the way it should be. Just Nature’s way of making sure everything is balanced I guess. 🙂
Have a great day my friend.

  14. Wow — can see why you might be indecisive about these shots. Glad you posted them all. Love the photo of the “drama cat” and baby.
