REALLY AWFUL HAPPY HOLIDAYS; BUT A FLY FAIRY.

It follows snappy folly ways
To wish one Happy Holidays!
Well-meaning prissy folk, you see,
All striving to be so PC,
Are simply following a lead
For which should be no slightest need. 

Would I object should someone say
They wish me Happy Grinkblump Day?
No, I’d return their wish with thanks
(Regardless if I thought them cranks)
And I’d expect that, in return,
Response to mine in kind I’d earn. 

So, ‘Merry Christmas!’ hear me call
Right cheerfully to one and all,
And ‘Happy New Year!’ I will add
(If yours is different, too bad),
I really fail to reason why
My greeting I should modify.
