Should cicada do its thing
And monotonously sing
Darkly in a thicket,
You may know what goes on there
Isn’t in the least bit fair,
But completely, au contraire,
Simply isn’t cricket!

I love listening to crickets chirp . . . but cicadas are TOO LOUD. Loved the poem. 😀

Here, it is the toads doing the loud croaking. They have sabotaged our telephone call to UK! Note the time of this – HAPPY NEW YEAR!

whatever they’re doing in the dark thicket – it means that it’s hot enough for even the flies to sit quietly!!

Now we have idiots blatantly breaking the law with loud bangs – the poor pets have had a torrid time tonight.

Don’t worry – the same here – been like that the whole evening, but hey – not much you can do about that I suppose.
I’m just hoping for a better one than the past one – I’ll take anything – bound to be a marked improvement!!
