And monotonously sing
Darkly in a thicket,
You may know what goes on there
Isn’t in the least bit fair,
But completely, au contraire,
Simply isn’t cricket!
(For those who haven’t been there yetMy Christmas story don’t forget; If you don’t read it soon, I fear
You’ll have to wait another year!)

I love listening to crickets chirp . . . but cicadas are TOO LOUD. Loved the poem. 😀

Cicadas also have this intolerably monotonous quality.
HAPPY 2013!

Here it is not the crickets.
The frogs are back in full throat.

Here, it is the toads doing the loud croaking. They have sabotaged our telephone call to UK! Note the time of this – HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Moving in this heat is almost impossible 😉

Don’t worry – the same here – been like that the whole evening, but hey – not much you can do about that I suppose.
I’m just hoping for a better one than the past one – I’ll take anything – bound to be a marked improvement!!

The only cricket we have here
is that game of days
to start on the second day of the new year.

That is a good cricket. Wasn’t the second 20-over match simply brilliant? Down to the last ball.
