Another cuppa, please!

Another cuppa, please!

The visitor that’s upper
In this bunch
Would also like a cuppa
I’ve a hunch!
How many of them are there,
Do you think?
You’ll miss the one that’s far there
If you blink!

Just looking after them for you!

Just looking after them for you!

Each budgie is a boarder
From R’s school,
And Mackie stays in order …
As a rule!

Say 'cheese' ... and 'birdseed'!

Say ‘cheese’ … and ‘birdseed’!

And when R has a friend round
For the day,
A budgie she will send round,
Out to play!

Too many visitors make lots of work, I’ll rather take a nap.

  2. What cute visitors!

  3. melouisef says:

Love those monkeys and the baby is just too sweet. Wonder if my dogs would object to these visitors.

  4. melouisef says:

Love those monkeys, I think my dogs will probably go crazy if we got those visitors.

  5. I can’t even imagine having monkeys in my garden. Fascinating! How delightful to have a poetic narration to accompany such every day occurrences made special. Friendship between two children, and apparently a cat with budgie friends! Really fun!

  6. adeeyoyo says:

What a super outlook you have, Col. Peace and Quiet – really idyllic! As for your visitors, the minkies are always a challenge but that lot looks well-behaved and the little human looks sweet enough to eat!

  7. The Asian says:

You’ve got quite a menagerie there! Are they all trained (including those two in the last picture ;))?
And I count eight multiplied by four minus twenty seven monkeys there 😉

  8. That’s quite a menagerie you have there, Col!

Every time I look at pictures of your beautiful home I have to suppress a sigh….

  9. adinparadise says:

I do miss seeing the monkeys. No monkeys in Florida. 🙂 That budgie looks like my childhood Georgie Porgie.

  10. Pussycat44 says:

I have no whiskey at home so I count 5 vervets. Cute to see them like that until they start raiding the kitchen.
Everything that is small is nice, even kiddies.

  11. kragenhai says:

I see ten of the little blighters but that could be because I have just had a double whiskey.
    Would you setlle for five?

  12. newsferret says:

How lucky we are that the long tails of the Cape stay so far.

  13. 68ghia says:

As cute as those monkeys are, I’m sure they can be quite a hassle!!
As for the little girls and the budgies – cute until they have poop down their shoulders 😉
