'Here Be Dragons' contest award

Second prize – Readers’ choice

Thanks,  readers!  Your votes have given me this ‘Honorable Mention’ for second place in the ‘There Be Dragons Here’ Contest.  !  I am most grateful.

Check out the full results here.

Meanwhile, I have been a trifle scarce while I designed a little spider spot:

Er, well, that is to say, a Website.

In a moment of utter insanity, I offered to organise one for our Garden Judges, and last night I thought I had better do something about it.   After Googling numerous options, I finally thought, ‘What the heck; never mind Googling for one – let’s try the Google one.’

What a pleasure.  The normal WordPress operations provide one with very good training on how to navigate round these things, and I had all the basics set up last evening.  Today was spent on fine-tuning some aspects.  Of course, there is a lot of development still to be done, but still – I think it is quite good for an amateur.  I was particularly impressed at how easy it was to get the PDF newsletter links in.

What think you?  Here is the site.

Is “wordpress.com” the site you want to visit?

So, Sir D, are you trying to trick me? 🙂

  1. You have so many interests! It’s a wonder you have time for your writing, Col.! I am glad you did well in the competition despite the problems with the voting mechanism. And your new website is very attractive and I thin will be easy for the members to follow. Nice work!

Finding time for writing certainly does become a problem, especially when I spend a day like today on the beach with g’dtr and then up a large tree with a chainsaw!
I do hope the members will enjoy it.
