A thing you need to face
When being all imperious:
South Africa’s a place
The State is always serious
In keeping at the head
Those with the least utility,
As long as they are bred
With tribal-type nobility;
And therefore we declare
(No matter if you can’t relate)
South Africa is where
We’ve got into a Serious State!

The veneration of the ‘Chief’ figure, come what may, is the most serious obstacle. Feelings of tribal loyalty override all common sense, and the leaders can do no wrong however much wrong they actually do.
