These would all have been created by those who shared the sentiments of Ferdinand Porsche:
“I couldn’t find the sports car of my dreams, so I built it myself.”
They are some DREAMS which have been achieved by people who were today in and around the Valley of 1000 Hills and Drummond area near Durban. It wasn’t a rally or anything. These were just people out for a Sunday drive in their wheels. Poor souls obviously can’t afford a roof for their cars – except fot the little Ferrari, of course.
Not sure if I want one of those, after taking a close look. The space is limited. Where third and fourth passengers would be, the engine sneaks in and lurks just behind your back. Creepy!

No go for something practical!
Anyway people often drive cars just to impress others

It works, though – I’m impressed! 🙂

Yes well – family does not quite belong in a car that size 😉
Still, nice vehicles…

Nice toys for youngsters before having family ties, usually only played with by oldsters after the family has left the nest, and then they often drive them in a way more suited to something with under 1000 cc!

Those are beautiful but quite impractical when you have people to drive around 🙂

What a stunning post Col! I had to laugh at your remark that they can’t afford roofs for their cars…LOL! It seems Ferrari would have to my choice then. And now you made me think of Magnum and his red Ferrari. Oh boy, I used to drool over that man in my younger days. Now I’d take Apollo and Zeus any time over him. hahahahaha.
Thanks for a great post and for participating my friend. You are the best! 🙂

Thanks for the theme! The little buggies seemed to fit it well, and then I was delighted to find such an apposite quote.

I would love to admire them while owning, and I’d also love the financial position to go with that!

Sports cars are not the most practical of cars.
But they can be fun to drive . . . on sunny days!
Vroom. Vroom.

They can certainly be great fun. I remember when then girlfriend and I drove from Johannesburg to Knysna in an MG TC – in midwinter! I finally resorted to wearing a scarf over my head as she did, so we looked like a pair of girls out on a jaunt!
