I spent most of today in a sub-committee designed to straighten out a constitution which has been so patched up over the years that it is a wonder it doesn’t fall to bits and scatter itself all over the place.
This was done in our dining room, with full-length sliding doors giving views which on Sunday included the following decorations on the pond. Today we didn’t have those to distract us, but there was a pause while we could almost hear the chanting of, ‘A, B, C, D, E, F, G!’ as a school of dolphins passed. There were also some scuba divers, a soaring sparrowhawk, and that same white excursion craft we had on Sunday, still hovering persistently. Maybe the latter is actually CIA or MI5 or something, keeping tabs on us.
We really should have drawn the curtains so as to concentrate. Except, there aren’t any.
This, I think, is a speedy trimaran called Ladybird.
(Don’t be picky about the pics – they are on zoom with a camcorder.)

sometimes you need that distraction to keep you sane…especially when it comes to worky things.

Makes me miss living by the beach (a little bit 😉 )

I could live without it, but it would need something rather spectacular by way of compensation!

I would love to have a view like that! In the past, all I saw was a wall and now I look out into a parking lot 😕

Well, if the parking lot has a Bentley and a Jag or two, that is a great improvement!

Now, if I had to sit in a meeting with a view like that, I’ll still not hear anything of the meeting, but I won’t fall asleep either 😉

So . . . did you get the patchwork quilt of a constitution sorted out amid all those lovely distractions?

We’re still juggling patches, to be sewn into place later!

Juggle twice . . . stitch once. 😉

I’m a good patchworker – I volunteer to sew them together again.
With views like like that, who needs curtains? Do you have a veranda? We have one here, but it’s not like Indian Ocean veranda living where most of life is spent.
At the mention of SCUBA, memories swoosh in. I’m glad I followed this blog!

vb – Oh, good! At needlework, I’m a good carpenter.
It is an uncovered paved deck, really. We use a gazebo there, sometimes.
I’m glad you’re glad!

Lovely distractions indeed Col. I would just sit there for hours and take in the beautiful view. Thanks for sharing my friend. 🙂 *big hugs*

One can’t do that when there is work to be done!

Oh, stuff the work now and then…you have to relax sometime and if I was there I would just “delegate” … hehehehe
