When the going gets too tough
One’s inclined to moan, ‘Enough’,
And with Kate eleventh spot
Yesterday, depressed I got;
Then decided, ‘One more shot
At vote-catching stuff.’
Aiming at the USA
Seemed the most productive way,
Nancy also on the case
Brought Kate back into the race;
Andra added stacks of pace –
Kate was there to stay!
Back to top ten was a thrill,
But went further up the hill;
Up to eighth a rise then saw,
But it kept on going more,
SECOND was the final score –
Rallied with a will!
Congratulations Kate!
Now I am off to the beach with grandkidlets and Pooch Pack – catch you later!

I took that too literally, and didn’t keep hat discipline going properly so I returned with two red-faced kids!

I was truly depressed after the plunge occurred, and could hardly believe it when the surge started and gained ongoing momentum.

Yes, hard to pick up on this out of the blue! Kateshrewsday above entered the vote stage to determine the top ten in a Penguin ‘Wayfarer’ contest – and has come second! Now the author who will choose the winner has an alphabetical list, but I’m sure he knows how the votes went.
