REALLY AWFUL HALLOWEENSIE RHYME

Take two.  I couldn’t resist the temptation to do another Halloweensie version as one of my Really Awful Rhymes.  It was fun turning the mood around from the last line of the second stanza onwards.

 Witch Cat 4

It was the night of Halloween
The fiercest black cat ever seen,
Came strolling through the village square,
Scaring kids all gathered there.

Then they screeched in greater fear
When a witch, too, did appear,
Swooping from above, astride
Vacuum cleaner, long and wide.

Witch oin Vacuum

‘Free rides for all,’ announced the cat;
Cackle!  I have come for that,’
Said the witch, ‘so you can see
What fun to be a witch can be!’

Cat on broom

Brave Tommy said,  ‘I want to try!’
And soon they chased bats through the sky;
Then, waiting turns, the rest all sat
Through spooky stories from the cat.

    Look into the history of witchy broomsticks.
    It’s quite racy.

  6. “Really Awful Rhymes”? What’s with that? Judging by this, I’m not sure you’re capable of “really awful”! BTW, thank you for trying to comment on my WordPress account, but I don’t actually use that account. (Except to comment on other people’s WP accounts!) This is great! Love the rides on the vacuum and the spooky tales from the cat. And I don’t think it’s a “really awful Halloweensie rhyme” at all. 🙂 I really enjoyed it. Nice job!
