A SHORT BOUT OF INSANITY

Madness

Some time yet remains
Haiku or low-ku to do –
So do strain your brains!

Just a reminder that judging of haikus on the theme of Madness I set for Haiku Monday will be done tomorrow, when the next victim host will be chosen.  There is thus still time to put in entries –  and those that have already written one or two should recall that I have agreed to look at up to three.

I am not looking forward to having to choose between the brilliant bursts of genius, and will probably end up sitting in a corner dribbling and staring raptly at a gecko that I will be firmly convinced is giving me a fascinating discourse on astrophysics.

Go mad!

I tried to come up with something but it seems like my brain is way too strained to come up with something intelligible

You could just close your eyes and let your fingers willy nilly land on a haiku. That choice would be just fine since there are so many good entries. :-). Just don’t poke the gecko.

I posted in the original . . . but ambivalent am I about hosting in the unlikely event the entries are more brilliant than they appear.

I’m sure you would do admirably.
I am nervous that with my smattering of knowledge of this genre I may overlook obvious (to experts) genius!

Why I would make a very poor host . . . first, I’m not partial to poetry. Second, I’m rather obtuse when it comes to poetry. And third, did I mention I’m not partial to poetry?

Like you, I would be unlikely to recognize what others would consider genius. It would look like gibberish to my uncultured eyes.

This is not an entry, just a comment!

    With no brain inside
the space is dull and very full
    blank madness resides!
