The challenge from Figments of a Dutchess is to give, in six words, a story representing Retrospect, perhaps a highlight related to the year about to end. There can be no doubt about mine!
Introduction, friendship, romance … 2013 Golden Anniversary!
At the same time, it is sad to reflect that, of that group of seven back in 1963, three have been taken away prematurely.

Photos are such bittersweet reminders, aren’t they Col?
On the topic of wedding anniversaries, I recently watched a short documentary – The Island of the Gracefully Aged – which featured a couple (she’s 99 and he’s 100) who have been married for 75 years! And he still tends his cattle and crops in Okinawa prefecture – quite remarkable.

sad when you lose old friends – but they lurk at the corners of your memory, waving when you share them with new found faces. Congratulations on the Golden 🙂
