YUCKY THINGS LOOKING UP REALLY AWFULLY

Blooming yuccas

Each bloom may well be a looker,
But, to hide there on their Yucca,
One supposes is for reason
That they’re guilty of High Trees-on!

‘Ghosts in Graveyard’sometimes known as,
Not as edible are shown asAsparagus
An asparagus would be,
Though they’re of same family!

Yucca, yucca… 😉 I was going to try to come up with a rhyme, but don’t think there is any way I can compete with you (and some of your commentors!) My experience with a yucca is that the leaves are very sharp!!!!! Love you post.

  2. Love Pussycat’s comment. She’s learning from you. 🙂 Great photos of the flowering Yucca. I love asparagus, and didn’t know it was related. You live and learn. 🙂

Related to the asparagus?! I never knew. I planted a few when we moved into our current home, and they are now monsters.

Great title! I do like the strong architectural silhouette of the yucca. Thanks for sharing this in the Up Down Challenge – always good to have a fun post!

I had a yucca for years and it never flowered. I love them though, they are such a statement in the garden when they stand on a grassy area!

Asparagus is very nice, especially with butter
so to decline a try..you would be a nutter
but its shape is weird and really quite long
however not suitable to sing in a song

Your yucca is HUGE. We cut the one in our courtyard way back last year . . . it’s not blooming. It might be mad at us for the pruning, or because it sees us eating ASPARAGUS.

It’s strange how things that seem to be totally different are actually related
