How completely gorgeous! What a fun ride, literally!

What a beautiful spot for a trail ride. I’m ashamed to say I’m afraid of horses so I would be the one hiking along.

It is a pity when one develops a fear of them – understandable, though. They can be a bit overwhelming! A big secret is to follow the Natural Horsemanship ideas whereby one gets the horse to do what one wants it to do, not for reward or out of fear of punishment, but for the reason that it wants to, too. A partnership.

Wow, I want to be there….that last shot is stunning. It’s such a lovely way to see the world, the pace is lovely on horseback 🙂

For the more experienced riders, the pace has to hot up quite a bit to get where you’re going!

Very sure-footed and mountain-trained, too. As well as fast, when you want them to be!

That looks like heaven, Col; the light, the horses, the space. Is that you in the first picture?

It is beautiful country side that… I love that area…

I prefer it even to the main sections of the Berg, for the reason that it is so gloriously unpopulated. Not a town or settlement in sight for as far as the eye can see.
Part of the setting of my latest book is based on it.

It is quite stunning, actually. For a further (slightly edited) sample, see my Darx Circle cover in the sidebar.
