Not a Punny Rhyming Poem, but Really Awful

Anna For A change from Anaphora – here she is a lovely creature, who is of a beach a feature

NaPoWriMo says ‘…for our (optional) prompt. Anaphora is a literary term for the practice of repeating certain words or phrases at the beginning of multiple clauses or, in the case of a poem, multiple lines … I challenge you to write a poem that uses anaphora. Find a phrase, and stick with it …’
Then, just to complicate my life, vivinfrance had to throw down this gauntlet: ‘Can I issue a challenge – write a poem to whatever is tomorrow’s prompt, with NO rhyme and NO puns?’

I can’t write blank verse poems:
  If there’s a country scene,
  I can’t put the grass is verdant;
I can’t write blank verse poems:
  Mountains that are really high
  Do not stretch up to the heavens;
I can’t write blank verse poems:
  Looking to the moon above
  Does not bring on dreams of adoration;
I can’t write blank verse poems,
  Or to claim that some sad rat
  Has been devoured by a domestic feline;
I can’t write blank verse poems
  Which would indicate a gale
  Rages over hill and a lower-lying area;
I can’t write blank verse poems,
  Thereby claiming that the corn
  Ripples in the early daytime;
I can’t write blank verse poems
  And include therein a boast
  That one night I viewed an apparition;
I can’t write blank verse poems
  In which one gets into debt,
  Placing an ill-founded wager;
I can’t write blank verse poems
  Wherein not a trace of rhyme
  Will appear at any stage –
I also can’t write blank verse poems
  In which there’s not even one
  Really Awful kind of word with a double meaning –
I can’t write blank verse poems!
