‘Tis da foist uv da mump, and therefore verily I say unto you:
Lettuce deal with this together!
The habit of Rabbit hasn’t burrowed into my mind.
Maybe I’m too hare-brained to develop new tricks?
Sensible adulthood has crept up on you. It is a serious condition, indeed!
Damn! I was afraid of that happening one day. 😎
I often wondered why people mentioned rabbits on the first day of a months. Today I searched for a reason: Superstition. I had enough of that rubbish from my father, so I walk under ladders, celebrate Friday 13th, wear the colour green, never throw salt over my shoulder and ignore the wabbits!
But think: if the stition is super, surely it must be good?
I love your turn of phrase!
That was certainly turned – but not out badly, I hope!
It was well done!
I’m obviously missing something here… 😕
A silly custom for the first of the month – he who belloweth ‘Rabbits’ first getteth a gift from the bellowee!
pinch and a punch …it’s the first of the month
*picks self off floor, rubbing arm and dislocated jaw* Indeed so!
Yes: wascally ones!
If you say so…????
As a rabbitee, you owe the rabbiter a gift!
Never heard of it until I started in journalism, and like viv, they were white rabbits.
There are many and varied versions – the only common denominators are the first and the bunnies!
This Day in History:
1944 France World War II Jun. 1st 1944 : The British Broadcasting Corp. aired the coded message from the first line of a poem by Paul Verlaine to underground resistance fighters in France to inform the French resistance that the D-Day invasion was imminent.
Wow – quite something to think of, that. Frisson stuff. It seems so remote – but I was around, at the time.
I was almost there 😉
They are delightfully cuddly creatures – except when they attack USA Presidents, of course!
White rabbits backatya
I’ll see your white rabbits and raise you a speckly one!
