Five Essential Items to Pack for Namibia

Just imagine the old days of slide photography. 38 shots and your film casette was used up- and by the standards of the day, they weren’t cheap!

I need to update my packing skills. Travelling by car makes me lazy. But then in Ireland we can have four seasons in one afternoon, I need to pack the ‘What if’s, this time the only item not used was my rain jacket.

Reminds me of a movie, Up in the air, with George Clooney.
If it didn’t fit in a carry-on case ( as above) you shouldn’t take it, was his motto.
In the movie he was a labour consultant and public motivational speaker of some sort and analyses every minute spent at airports. He always wore slip on shoes and queued behind Japanese businessmen because they knew ”how to pack”; and were the quickest through airport check-ins!

Yes, the days of 36 shot Kodak film. And you’re right, it was hellishly expensive.

I ALWAYS end up paying excess baggage. And then saying never again. And then doing it again.
You notice I said 38? That’s because I always lived dangerously with the wind-on bit and got that number out of each spool.

  3. I fancy those shoes. Are there biting insects in Nabia? If so, on my essential list would be a hat with a veil.
