I woke up to find that the local representatives of Burglars, Pilferers Inc had excelled themselves last night. Flinging wide the bedroom curtains, I couldn’t help noticing that the beach and sea had gone missing.
Hills and buildings on the other side had also been taken, and even some of our trees were being affected.
This may be a common sight in many parts of the world, but it is something that hardly ever happens here. Strangely enough, it was quite localised. Apparently we were an isolated area with our heads in the clouds.
That is so beautiful!

How lovely! At least you will have your “property” returned soon enough! 🙂 Lucky you!

But soon I lose them for good – or bad, that is.

Big mist-take. Don’t leave your hills, buildings and other views outside the house after nightfall.

They tend to wander off on their own, then, but generally come back at dawn. This time I imagine they overslept.

You know, you’d think the trees would have put up more of a fight.

They had a tree ‘im endous force to contend with! 🙂

It is a sight I often see here during the wintertime. I wonder if added pollution has anything to do with it?

Most likely, but this had a fairly clean appearance – not like the smog which settles over the city from time to time.

Dammit! All the best – (Mist, Foggiest, Clouds etc) and thus cheesiest one – liners are taken.
Nice photos though. Oh…I see someone already said that too.

I hope they return your view hastily 🙂

I was still framing my complaint to the weather office when they dismantled the screen!

Have I mist something?

I mist say I mist seeing the sea.

ah this is what happens when you doubt ‘strange happenings’…they go out of their way to prove to you that there is always the possibility of ghostly creatures , people or happenings…this is one such example

I hope you lodged a complaint with the UN? As a cat I do that frequently when the weather is not what I ordered! 🙂

Fog can be fun . . . if you’re not in need of the view.

The view was sadly mist!

Ha, never know what’s happening in the thick of the fog, especially if you’re living in a haunted house surrounded by the fog…oh my!

Yep, very common in our Welsh hills, this damp swirling cotton wool stuff. Mind you, we have two types, ‘mist’ (just like wot you had) and ‘Welsh mist’ (light rain which emerges straight out of the enveloping cloud onto you).
‘Head in the clouds…’ I trust that’s not a metaphor.

I do love the mysterious feel and hush of mist….as long as it doesn’t last too long 🙂

We noticed today what an amazing damping-down effect (haha) it has on sound. The sea went quiet. The traffic went quiet.

Thankfully we had a glorious day, while you were lost in fog. It is a regular visitor to these shores and well outstayed all welcome this past winter. Many a day I could not see beyond the end of my nose!

Funny, our politicians don’t need mist to have the same complaint!

One morning the whole of Toti’s beach front disappeared like that, too. For a while I didn’t have to look at that big block of flats formerly known as Sanlam Park! Glorious feeling.

Didn’t last, though!

Good grief, if I hang onto your bust won’t I get slapped?

Given my current feeble status, hanging onto any part of me to keep me upright is a bonus. My upper body strength is sadly underdeveloped. I joke not. I’m not up to slapping. I’d fall over 😀
