That was actually a river in the foreground which reflected the sky. I have quite a series of pictures from that location – all of them are amazing.

I love the big wheel best of the black & white studies. The colour one is outstanding too, But, Col, your last one is so very similar to the photo I am using for my blog header I had to compare. Different settings and mine doesn’t have the water splashing in the foreground. What a coincidence! They both have to be taken at the Pilanesberg at one of the picnic spots. Did you fuse two pics together?

There is a similarity, but the locations are quite different. If you look at my proposed cover for Darx Circle you will see that it is actuall that ‘Rhino Valley’ with a different treatment.

I love the sunset pic best: I’ve often thought “if I took a picture of it no-one woule believe it wasn’t photoshopped” of a spectacular sunset. But they are oneof the miracles of nature.

Some sunrises/sets are simply out of this world. If one meddles with them at all, it is to tone them down to make them believable.

I think it was a good combo. So far each one has been singled out, so they must appeal to a variety of tastes.

There certainly were some vivid shades and contrasts in that scene. The bottom ‘double silhouette’ is fun, too.
