A flea has an interesting life –
He gets to see very much more
Than any man usually does of his wife,
And goes where no man’s gone before.
While lady fleas may spend their days
In looking at something quite small,
At times tall erections can well fill their gaze,
And nights can be just one long ball.
If victims have had nip-and-tuck
A flea will not mind at all much –
Enjoys it, in fact, to go running amuck
In nipping the tucks, flaps and such.
Some fleas keep abreast of the times,
While others get rather bum deals,
But both can get caught and bumped off in their primes,
‘Midst outraged and furious squeals.
So, ‘Fleadom for all!’ is the cry,
Be kinder to these little pests;
With loose, unwashed clothing you’ll find, bye-and-bye,
A good population infests.
Had a good chuckle while reading this 😀

We have to start from scratch in the new house, so I thought I’d spread it around a bit!

I don’t care how amazing these jumpin’ critters are, my dog is treated every month for the little devils.

Yikes!! I walked into a house I wanted to rent many years ago and was instantly covered with fleas from the knees down – a surreal experience as you scratch and they jump to your arms…on…and…on…..

Where did that one come from? Yuck, I do not like fleas..it is bad enough coping with dog fleas but people fleas…neh..neh
the poetry was very good
and very clearly understood
but keep your fleas unto yourself
and spray the bottle on the shelf
then all the fleas would be darn good dead
then write about something nice instead

What a horrifying picture, Col. You’ve just kept me from getting another dog for the rest of my life.

Ah, but dogs don’t give humans fleas. People and carpets give dogs fleas.

You forgot cats give dogs fleas.

Oh, yes! And, of course, birds give cats fleas. Particularly pigeons.

I wish I had some biting commentary to contribute; I would jump at the chance.
And then others could contribute, and it would be a real circus.

Fleas must be one of the worst kind of bugs ever! I actually got bitten by one while I was out at the mine, luckily nothing serious came of it

Do shut up Col. Just disturbed a dirty great cockroach in the bathroom, I really don’t want to think about fleas as well.

Me neither. The flies are as much as I can cope with at this time of year.

The finca over the road from us used to have loads of horses but they moved them elsewhere. Horses were nice, but we have so many less flies. Cockroaches, fleas, flies, and ticks. Total yucksville.
