Paws for Really Awful Handy Tips on Feet

For Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Hands, Feet, or Paws –

 Kiddie hands and bunny paws

When keeping a bunny in hand

Their paws quite closely one should catch,

For something one must understand:

They’re good at taking off from scratch.

Poo Shoe (Adj)

‘Oh, not again!’ you hear my wails,

As awful stench my nose assails

When doggies do what doggies do,

And I get poo upon my shoe!

On my trip to Alaska I remember having to avoid moose poo which is a little more romantic than doggie poo… you could even buy souvenirs… don’t ask!

  2. Oh yes, I remember getting scratched by a bunny when I was but a child. I’d much rather step on a rabbit pellet than doggie doo-doo. 🙂

And when wrinkled noses and flopped ears take flight
best not restrain them all too tight
Lest turn they will to leave a bite.
No bad intention… just from fright.

At least that was only doggy poo… When I was little, we went to a petting farm of sorts and my foot landed up in a mountain of cow poo :-/

Good poems. Didn’t know about bunnies claws. I’ve only ever handled dead ones.

what a cute bunny. We once woke to find a rabbit had taken up refuge under our shed. He came back and forth for a couple of weeks and then left. Was very sad to see him go

Crit editor weighing in: The first four-liner and photo are adorable. This is where the poet ought to have stopped. 😀

  12. That bunny’s fur looks so luxurious. Those hind legs can really scrape you up – we had an Australian Rex rabbit ( so not the miniature we were promised!) once. It growled and barked like a watch dog.
Dogs do grin at thos incidents, don’t they?
