Stepping into Spring

Boi-i-i-i-i-ing!

Boi-i-i-i-i-ing!

Hey-ding-a-ding-ding!

With the arrival of Spring in our part of the world, sponsored walks in fancy hats is the order of the day.  Of course, it had to rain.  Undaunted, young J’s school managed an alternative route under cover, involving a lot of passages and courtyards and rooms.  The outdoor scene happened for only one circuit, and I was on stairway duty to ensure that the participants didn’t take a quick route nose-first.   All survived, and thereafter I was merely a spectator.

Abandoned.

Abandoned.

Happy Spring for those for whom Spring has sprung, and I Autumn manage to offer condolences to those now Falling into chillier times.

  1. No condolences necessary for me! This is my favorite time of year–cooler temps, shorter days…ahhhhh. 🙂 Remember, I’m Bat Woman!!!

  3. Autumn for me, I started to put away my summer shorts and vest tops and pull out the sweaters and jeans, it would just be easier if I had a bigger wardrobe! It’s warm in Glasgow just now so I’ve been too hot! not complaining it can last a while longer.

Farewell, Winter, Spring has sprung, with zephyrs fresh to fill the lung! In every step an eager spring; who knows what joy such steps may bring?

Yea! Spring Day in Estcourt one year and we had a sprinkling of snow much to the school children’s delight. Flowers were forgotten and little snowmen were made instead.
