Uriah Heep
Was nothing but a creep –
The humble will
Remain invisible,
For what’s to see
In showing modesty?
If you are good,
To say so’s what you should!
Conceited man
Will get much further than
The ones who keep
Their trumpets put to sleep;
And even though
Their self-esteem may go
Quite well beyond
How far they can respond,
It’s better, thus,
That they should make a fuss,
Than simply shrink
To nothing people think
Is how they are
Because self-praise they bar;
Their actions show?
But who is there to know
The genius part,
If folks don’t makes a start
And take a look
At latest brilliant book?
No point hiding, shine ⭐️👍🏻

The book is – the production is still a bit of a production.

*Smile* Well, every author knows that story. Patience. It will see the light of day and that will be worth the wait, I am sure.

Congrats on the new book, Col. A bit of crowing and trumpet blowing is quite in order. 🙂

That lion fish may use his beauty to get noticed, but then he becomes deadly!

Thanks – my PR will have to include persuading everyone that Darx is not a misprint!
A line fish may provide sushi, but a lion fish roar …?

No they’re quite silent, but deadly – where have I heard that before? A very beautiful fish to see on a dive!!

And to keep well clear of!
Of course the roar was in relation to how one eats sushi. (A bit obscure, I admit!) 🙂

I’ve never eaten sushi…..

The idea of uncooked fish fails to appeal to me. I prefer it fried, with chips, and flavoured by newsprint. Oh – the last part is just a nostalgia thing!

Thanks very much – it has certainly taken a long time to grow, even regularly watered and fertilised!
