Really Awful Floral Tribute

Red

I ask, of all, their pardons
If I am not here much
I have been judging gardens,
With pools and lawns and such

Pink

Then comes the writing out of
  Reports and all that stuff,
Which there’s a great big bout of
  Before one has enough

Mixed

But when this blog has showers,
  Presented in good style,
Of lots of lovely flowers,
  Won’t that make it worthwhile?

I cannot com-peat: I lay down my sword. Your superior verse has me totally awed …

I trust that all reporting is told in succinct verse, and all judgemental comments are in brief but not too terse; that statements are considered (best composed with care and time) and always just delivered in scanning lines that rhyme!

You arose and blossomed forth, presenting your point on a thorny topic, stemming the tide of ugliness, pressing the petal to the meddle (hmmm got a bit lost in that one – nice flower pics though…)

  7. Very pretty Col. Who can not smile at lovely flowers? Even if they are rather small pix. Mine not to carp. Sorry that was a fish analogy as I couldn’t think of a floral one.

I had to condense them – they are being shown before the premiere, as it were.
You could have had ‘not to bark’ if it had been a dog rose.
Carp reminds me of one of my characters. His name is Enter. He lives in forest streams, so he knocks about in woods a lot. If that falls flat, you would really be floored by his downtrodden brother Pet.
