A Facial Transplant in Transition

Transition is the current Daily Post Photo Challenge.

Our state of transition from one home to another has been protracted for over a year now while renovations have been undertaken.  Meanwhile we all continue to live in the tiny cottage further down the property, which was only designed for a couple.

This is just one aspect, showing the front rotted wooden windows now replaced in the bedroom with larger aluminium ones, and in the lounge and area converted into a third bedroom with aluminium concertina doors.

I need to update my pictures – the brickwork is no longer showing after having been protected with damp-proof plaster to prevent the seepage into the foundations which was in evidence.  Can’t do it in time, though – we are off to a notoriously Haunted Hotel for the weekend, returning Monday.  So I will be out of touch for the weekend.

The happy part – it is in the foothills of the Drakensberg.  The unhappy part – the weather forecast for the entire weekend is saturatingly soggy.  Good for the draught conditions, anyway, even if we have to spend the entire time in our room being haunted at.

It never fail to rain when construction is being done.
Must hop over to see if you were haunted…

  8. You’ve done wonders, Col. I’ll come to you when I’m ready for a face lift. 🙂 I think your drought turned into a draught. 😕 Have a great soggy, haunted weekend.
