Still, as the pictures may show, we enjoyed our visit to the haunted (Shhhhhh! They’re trying to live that down – it scares the kiddies away) Mountain Park Hotel.

For dealing with the naughty: slightly, and you get put in those stocks and have rotten veggies thrown at you. More naughty, and you get appropriate bits of you chopped off on those barrel tops – for the very naughty, it’s the head.

… and then you stroll up hill and down dale until you reach the base of the peak of Amahaqwa Mountain …

I was recommended to try Stormy Hills Trails on the way back for the return to riding I have been wanting for some time. (Pics courtesy of Stormy Hills) This one sees me waving a fond farewell to Much Better Half who does not believe riding horses is something sane people do.

Here I am under way. Zambi may not look particularly big in these shots, but when one notices that a telescope is needed to see the ground from up on his back, one quickly gets the message …
Pub, fireplace, view, hiking trails and horse. Sounds beautiful and perfect

A pleasant break, indeed. And the richly deserved stiffness and soreness after all the activity didn’t happen. We’re fitter than we thought we were.

That last discovery is always good news.

This place doesn’t seem occupied by ghosties, but it looks as if it could become a favorite haunt of yours! 😉

Wow! Look at the open space. I think it’s time I make a trip out of London.

Fortunately, in spite of all they have done to try and mess it up, there is lots of lovely open space still available in UK!

I looked and looked, but didn’t see a single ghostly apparition on any of the photos? What’s with the false advertising? 😀

Typical – when faced with people who would be quite happy to see apparitions and funny stuff, they lurk and sulk.

You should complain to “Hallo Peter”!

Yeah, I’m with that . . . sane people prefer stabler travel platforms.

One can’t better the built-in navigations systems these ones have, though.

What could possibly be more in a stable than a horse?

Unless it is a horse in an unstable condition that kicks a hole in it and heads for the hills.
