Do it Now

There’s a motto, ‘Do it now’,
But I can’t help thinking how
Often work, put off for play,
Then gives up and goes away!

So the ‘do it now’ applies,
In amongst the very wise,
To those recreation things
Which will let the soul take wings.

The current Weekly Photo Challenge has the subject of Now and so a phew fotos follow fresh from today’s activities.   They are thus very ‘Now’,  but in fact also illustrate how a ‘Now’ can make provision for the future.

We attended a marriage today in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands which was unconventional not only in the sense that wife and wife were joined, but also in that one partner comes from a white English South African background while the other comes from an Indian South African one.  Apart from those ethnic groups, Afrikaans and Zulus were also represented in the group of guests.  It was an amazing ceremony and occasion.

At their home where the ceremony was held, a cactus which flowers for a day only once a year had chosen to do so NOW.
