A Really Awful Complete Cabinet Reshuffle

Though cabinets did look all right

They had an aspect to gall sight;

Because of dark lacquer

Their presence was blacker –

But now they’re looking quite all white.

They have gone paler in the mein.

They have gone paler in the mein.

      It took a bit more than a flap of a wand to achieve that!
      No, the slat effect is from burglar bars which are such a necessary feature in our excitingly lawless land. The miscreants still break burglar bars, though, and then gather to celebrate in housebreaker pubs.

      • Gads, Sounds so familiar. Window bars common in some areas here, too. Not in this current location – but some builders now do not use opening windows anymore for that reason. Houses are becoming more and more defensive compound/old style haciendas – solid exterior opening into a center protected courtyard area. We seem to just be an endless loop with civilization.
        Robbery/burglary is considers an appropriate career for far too many.

    There is another type of cabinet which could do with a nice white spray paint job 😉

    Now all you need to do is spraypaint the TV screen a paler shade of white and Bingo! a full house!

      That is a thought – but, no, the white would then be a bit overbearing. I’d consider doing it in the same shade as the cabinet it is standing on, except that we don’t intend to keep the cabinet … 🙂
