    Kennings! And such good ones. You just revived one of my nearly-dead brain cells. I don’t think I’ve seen or heard the word since I took an Old & Medieval English course about half a century ago.
    The kitling’s a delight, too.

    “Ken” het via Germaans in Afrikaans as werkwoord voortbestaan, maar ek het nie geweet van die “kennings” nie – baie interessant!
