I managed particular economy of added words in doing Wordle 253 in the order given, but then had to tack on another ten to complete it with a rhyme scheme of ABACBC, and also add the above heading of three to make complete sense of it :
Draw maps of howling wilderness:
No cover, break or food,
And split with places of still less,
Where, lost, to front or rear a move
Maintains that hopeless mood
No change of vantage can improve.
Very emotional.
I’ve written an article myself on my own depression and history – and how I believe writing helps us and can help us to combat this. Check it out if you like. https://emilycrutcheruk.wordpress.com/2016/09/29/how-writing-is-helping-me-combat-anxiety-and-depression/

I love the combination of creativity and depression. I’m creative and have had bouts of depression throughout my life, so I believe that they go together.

In many cases, that could well be so. And, when depressed, one is not responsive to pep-talks or logic or self-chastisement for being in that frame of mind.

I hear you. Pep talks and logic and self-chastisement are exactly what we don’t need.

I have to know…how long does it take you to make all of this work out so well? I’m impressed!

I happened to time this one – it took twenty minutes. Most of that was on fixing rhyme and meter.

Bravo. I couldn’t think what to do with the wordle, so chickened out.

It seems you have gotten to the “heart of the matter.” Really just wonderful!

Thanks – it was ironical that I avoided getting depressed or lost by writing about being lost in depression!

Your economy of words worked a treat – almost like a swift ‘check-mate’ – sometimes when we are stuck..we are stuck..

I am invariably surprised when following the chain of words takes me in a direction that works out.

Oh, rhyming. Not my strong suit. Like the others have said economy and rhyme, nicely done.

I am hopelessly addicted to rhyme in my writing –
A tendency, now, I have given up fighting.

I can only second what De has already said. An economy of words plus a rhyme scheme. Beautiful work.

Thanks for kind remarks – and link, but I have already been there via The Sunday Whirl!

Just excellent. I am fond of an economy of added words when using a word list. And to have done so with some meter and rhyme thrown in is just fantastic.
