Although it gives derisive smiles,
Raised garden bed I edged with tiles
(Placed so that all chipped corners found
Are buried underneath the ground)
Proved necessary for the shaving
Of the ground for crazy paving;
Now, once completed, I’ll restart
To do the crazy paving part.

Burst is the worst, we had one some time last year. Unfortunately for us it took the insurance and complex approved plumber 2 days before they came to fix it

That is pretty fast by most standards. I am still in shock with the speed and efficiency we encountered.

Ah, yes, winter’s here’s and the traditional geyser problems start. Either the valve or pipes.
I remember in the UK all the pipes were lagged as was the boiler in the airing cupboard.
I don’t ever recall having trouble with a geyser.
The property looks as if it is on a very steep slope. Excellent exercise, no doubt.

Geysers seldom seem to go much beyond their guarantee period – they pass it, and then pass out.
The property is certainly on a steep slope, and has multiple levels. Galloping up and down slopes and steps is a daily feature.

When I ran my last comrades we stayed with people whose home was built on a slope that was like Little Polly’s. The incline of the driveway was like a ski run. I could hardly believe it. My friend, Mike nearly burned the clutch out on his BMW the first couple of times he tried to get back up the drive. I kid you not, it was something else!
The back of the property was not quite so hilly and they had a flat strip of lawn.

Brother- and Sister-in-Law have a Berea property with a driveway like that – and it also has a cunning twist in it to test driving skills to the utmost. Their flat sections come in far smaller instalments than ours.
The best (only?) option for our property was to have the garages on the road and let the legs do the ups and downs.
