One project for today,
To get a door-frame fitted:
Skew brickwork in the way
Against our tools was pitted;
The bricks were winners, without doubt –
No less than two good drills burnt out,
So to replace them I’m about,
Or I’ll be under-kitted.

Another Gordon’s Bay picture from last week to put me in a better mood. But in the foreground, what is that? Must be a local type of cat,
Our Viv would have liked your verse.

I have just been visiting Viv to see why she had gone silent, having somehow missed notification of that last post. I feel quite devastated at the loss. She really will be missed.

I wondered if you knew and didn’t quite know how to tell you, my own heart being rather broken. She was such a delightful commenter on your blog. I know that you will miss her presence here. She was one of a kind, rather like you, yourself are.

I really did feel on the same wavelength, and will miss her greatly.

What a beautifully tender moment the photographer captured!

No such thing as a ‘simple’ job they often prove to be the longest and most difficult. My sympathy.
