Wordle Dedicated to Viv.

It was a severe shock to learn that Viv of Vivinfrance’s Blog died unexpectedly on 5th July.  Fittingly, Wordle 256 has used words inspired by her, and I have taken them in turn to frame a tribute to this wonderful lady who over the years has inspired so much respect and friendship with her sparkling posts and poetry, and with her witty comments.

257

So ready to laugh, she’d not wish us to weep
As so well we can at the shock;
She would spice with her wit that she’s fallen asleep
With an unfinished pattern (quilt block).

She would lift up our spirits to fly like a bird,
And not tolerate keeping them low,
But with phrases that twinkle, the warmth of each word.
Cajole us in wisdom to grow.

  5. I’d seen her around in comments, but like Disperser, didn’t read her blog. Still, a shock though. Somewhat like, someone you know of through someone else. Nice, elegantly worded post Col.

    Did not read her blog, but liked the epitaph she wrote.

    I can’t miss what I did not know, but can appreciate the fact she touched many with her contributions.

    And you are so right about Viv. Perhaps that is why these words reminded me of children’s laughter, something Viv would understand and appreciate. This is a wonderful tribute to our friend and fellow poet,
