Here’s news to put us in the dumps –
Both granddaughters contracted mumps!
Some pictures? No, they would not wish
To be shown here as puffer fish!
Today fixed cleaner, next door pool
(Stone clogging mid-pipe played the fool),
And then I plugged some holes in door
Which I have spoken of before.
And drove to Pinetown as the scene
To get re-stitched, a trampoline;
When back, more paving; nearly done;
The silly things I do for fun!

I had it as an adult – it was NOT funny. Actually, there is nothing unique about it locally. In spite of shots against it, it is raging like wildfire through the schools.

Oh no, not the mumps. Things just never settle down, do they. I have a funny story about when my brother had the mumps but it only works to tell it in French
