Whale of a Sail

The Daily Post’s Photo Challenge for the current week has a theme of Cherry On Top.

Boating off Durban

Out to sea for a sail
Is enjoyment non-stop,
Even on a grey day;

Whale
Having sight of a whale
Gives the cherry on top
On this Durban Bay day!

    Whales are fun. They seem as interested in us as we are in them. I went out whale watching on a small boat and saw the adults cruising by and underneath us, The youngsters didn’t come so close, but one was showing off by breaching (rising out of the water, then slamming down) further away. It dismays me that they can be killed for no good reason.
