Today, it rained. It did a lot of that. Then, pleased with its efforts, it did it a considerable bit more.
Here is a picture taken by Younger Daughter on her way back from work. Heavy vehicles creating a wake. Boating home?
There were also a number of rivers and lakes where there normally aren’t, and much traffic chaos generally ‘wash’ in evidence. Maybe the drought has broken?
Our large portapool runneth over after looking a bit sick, level-wise, up to the end of last week. Now, at last, I can waste some of it to get the bottom clean.

This may sound odd (but not coming from me): the clouds look lovely! So gentle on the eyes. I really must have been a bat in a prior life! 😐

I hadn’t noticed until your mention, but the clouds are rather pleasing in an understated sort of way.

As I shield myself from the intense glare of the unrelenting sun, the soft clouds are all I noticed!

amazing to think Blighty is having sun and no rain right now. Guess you are having it for us. I’d like to say thank you, but not sure it would be appreciated 🙂

Blighty, in any case, usually goes for more gentle stuff – not drops the size of footballs being goal-kicked from the skies.

You know what they say; when it rains, well, stuff gets wet. Water does that, you know.

I’ve seen many pictures of Toti and the floods. Here, up north, it has been rumbling all night, but nary a drop of rain.

We could see Toti coming in for special attention, even from here.

Yay yay, I’m the first to “like” this! Love the rainy pics. Yes that rain does indeed look pleased with itself.

It was remarkably good at what it did. It also brought cold and hectic wind, and then (most improbably) even added a bit of thunder and lightning. I didn’t think that happened with chilly conditions!
