What sort of bird is in that nest?
It’s like that of a hadeda,
But ibis don’t have ears, so best
Of guesses is an owl, by far.
But, wait! This owl greets with a mew,
And sports some whiskers, and long tail,
Owls doing that are very few …
Fact it is kitten must prevail!
Today, a problem at the pond,
One of the kits was catching fish,
And of that sport was growing fond …
How can I cure her of that wish?
A very confused kitty. I’m with GP Cox……. Hope she doesn’t start singing “I believe I can fly.” 🙂

It’s okay to think you’re a bird – as long as you don’t try to FLY!!

Well, fancy that, a cat that thinks it’s a bird?
Now a bird that thinks it’s a cat, now that’s absurd!

Oh, as to that, remember how
A parrot does a perfect ‘meow’?

But not to the resident ibis!

Don’t bother curing her. She womn’t be able to catch them anyway and after she has fallen in the pond a few times she will stop.

She caught at least five guppies on her first try – at least, that was the number we restored to the water. Others may have been munched. And she is far too agile to fall into things. Houston, we have a problem …
