Bird Preys, but No Blessing.

Wordle 273 has a difficult combination for using all of them in order with few added words, and giving sense and rhyme.  This is the picture which eventually came to mind:

wordle-273goshawkchasingdove-cheshire-img_0700-c2psd31

(blue, race, red, lock, burn, grab, bless, lose, stump, vote, conceal, stick)

In blue a race is held: red talons lock in air,

Eyes burn with rage; he finds his grab success won’t bless;

Prey he will lose; stump efforts with a dive to lair —

Sure vote: will in concealment stick till safe, I guess.

The result reminds me a bit of our Trained Parrots (known as the Hawks) who are desperately trying to swoop on an ‘inconvenient’ Finance Minister, so obviously at the behest of the President or those close to him, and so far falling flat on their beaks.   Except that their prey isn’t running to a lair; instead, the President has done so in holing up with his rascally old buddy, Mugabe.

  2. Good combination of the words. Admittedly they were challenging!
