Hope this is a sign that 2017 will have a rainbow lining to all clouds.
Back in SA via Addis which is an hour earlier than the two hours SA is earlier than UK. I need a stiff drink to get my head round that.
Anyway Happy Happy Happy to all plus assorted bunnies of your choice.
Happy 2017! What a great way to end 2016 and begin a new year!

And to you!
Well, sitting in cramped seats in between juggling heaps of luggage was not my New Year party of choice, but the trip made it worth it.

A gift, indeed. It is hard to describe the sheer impact of seeing it there above the rooves of the town.

I must say Addis Ababa airport had us underwhelmed.

Almost looks like a staged effect from a sci-fi movie. Brilliant.
And I don’t need a stiff drink even though I not only have time zones to worry me but seasons too!

It certainly looks unreal, and I don’t think it is a likely spectacle in Australia or South Africa. I was thrilled to see and capture it.

I too, would have been thrilled, I too would have attempted to capture it, but in that I’d have failed miserably,. when it comes to using a camera, I’m not the sharpest knife in the block.
There was a recent event in the clouds above my home and I dashed in, got my little Sanyo camera thingy, and took pictures of it. Failed miserably.
I am tempted to put them in a post, say nothing about them, and ask viewers to guess what they are, or represent.

That will be interesting. It is possible you captured more than you think, because your assessment is clouded 🙂 by having seen it in entirety.

No, I think this best thing is to delete it and save my shame for another occasion XD

We were taking shots of buildings, and then youngest granddaughter got us to look up! Disbelief was followed by swift deployment of camera!

Appropriate – it needs frozen particles to get that cloud iridescense! It is an amazing sight.
