Today when I was trying to boot
Found programmes had all done a scoot,
Got error messages, a few,
Advising me what I should do,
But when I did it, error back,
And then it got a loop attack
Before it broke away with glee
And tried to reinstate XP!
Computer hospital knew why,
For I had blown my power supply,
A new one fitted, and returned —
How for quick booting-up I yearned! —
But then I still got nowhere fast!
A second trip, and at long last
They got the thing to work again …
But it was all an awful pain.
All too familiar… still painfully trying to re-assemble blogs and bloggers, addresses, letters and documents after my machine blew it six months ago, and had to get windows 10, plus switch e-mails, that I still can’t find my way around… much pointless gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands …

They have computer doctors and hospitals, but where are the mental health professionals for us when our external brains are spazzing out on us? We need rebooting, too!

Synchronicity….just had to buy a new battery for the laptop. Thank God the old ones are programmed to give you a heads up as they die.

At least you had warning! Mine just started acting funny-peculiar.

At least it’s up and running again.
Still, I bet you were not worried because you had everything backed up. However, XP?
That was a decent release, but no security updates and Win7 was better. Win 10 is better still, at least from the headache standpoint.

My backing-up is not what it should be and I kept XP on another drive for apps. Maybe not a good idea.

I can believe that; the pain bit, that is!
