Simply Brilliant Chicago in Durban

We took our overseas visitors to the Durban production of ‘Chicago’ to round off Easter Sunday, and introduced them to the co-directors of KickstArt.  After reading the Sunday Times review of it, I won’t even attempt to write one of my own.  It says just about all I would have wanted to, only better.

An indication of the bitter irony depicted in this musical is that the only one to be hanged in it is the girl who constantly insists that she is innocent.

Caty Moore and Jessica Sole doing the murderess bit.

  1. I love Chicago, agree with you about the poor Russian.

  2. Well if one of the two depicted, was the not guilty one, I can’t help thinking that Albert, had he have been called upon to perform his art, would have declined the invitation and the £15. that he charged!

Albert was not faced with that choice — the two depicted were totally guilty but were found not guilty due to pulling every press publicity stunt in or outside the book. Anyway, he was in UK and they were in USA, so that guy would have been passing up x US$!
