For a belated stab at this week’s Photo Challenge on the subject of Elemental I am submitting these pictures. Pity I don’t have one of a mental ellie to match my title.
Earth near water
Air and water
A fire to de-fy-a-tempts to barbecue.
Tailpiece:
‘How did you know, Holmes, that he had been thrown from a cliff into the river and then burnt before being buried?’
‘Elementally, my dear Watson.’

That was my trumpeted-up charge, but I couldn’t find any of them on Amaroela which does make them mental.

Dang . . . I hate to be pedantic . . . but, I can’t help it.
Strictly speaking, fire is not an element. Sure, the ancients called such, but they hadn’t even invented underwear back then, so I’m not about to trust their judgment overly so. Besides, if we go with classical “elements” we should also include “void” or empty space . . . but, where are you going to find a photo of the insides of a politician’s head?

That’s what I said. I can’t help it because one must speak the truth whenever said truth is misrepresented, especially when one has solid data and science in their corner.

And I didn’t know what it looked like, aether!
Some threw in metal as well, but I feel that is part of the earth bit and would give irony which would have lead astray..

That’s a heavy comment and you make a solid argument. Still, I think we shouldn’t aid in casting dubious veins of arguments. Rather, we should temper our propensity to deposit too much on our plate lest we foil the very intent of ore message.

It didn’t help that I first read the chosen theme as Emmenthal… *cheesey grin*
Anyway, the images were holey, sorry, wholly acceptable interpretations, and looked good too!

That was certainly enough to make you cheesed off with the topic.

That was wife and daughter being a bit overenthusiastic about building a fire!
