Merry Christmas, everyone!
This has been a hectic time indeed, with the family only returning from Cape Town on Friday morning and a houseguest arriving from Germany that afternoon. We have been the hosts this year for our traditional Xmas dinner with turkey and stuffing and the whole works, attended by all local family and selected friends. A certain amount of preparation was necessary, particularly as our housemaid has gone away on holiday.
Anyway, here are three of the labels I prepared for gifts to Much Better Half and Younger Daughter, leaving it to them to work out who would get what …
Damned glad I wasn’t born a Turkey

Man, oh man . . . even I can’t bring myself to hit that soft-lob.
. . . I mean, I want to, but it seems unsporting.

Not true . . . I don’t prey on the feeble.
Smilies are what people use when they lack mastery of proper words. Just my opinion, but I see a lot of evidence substantiating it.
