Here we have my two elves just before I went into the Father Christmas act after Xmas Dinner on Monday.
And this shows a sample of the tablecloths which adorned both tables.
(A cloth and an overlay — quite effective! Safely stored for next year.)
Tomorrow, we are doing another of our scenic train journeys, this time on the North Coast.

Love the ears! How long did they have to wait before opening their presents? Or do you stagger throughout the day?

The kids get bits and pieces throughout the day, but the formal handout is after dinner.

Much more civilised than our house. On Christmas morning the children dig into their Christmas stockings, after breakfast they start on their named Christmas sacks.

In our case the custom has arisen to accommodate waiting for the family to get together.
